Northland Motor Technologies announces the following product change.
All BBA14 Mercury brand blowers of the through flow configuration, as of February 1, 2008, will now be tested to an acceptance vibration criteria of 1G max vibration. Based on market feedback NMT has lowered the maximum acceptable vibration from 4 to 1 G maximum. This change affects all part numbers that begin with the following sequences; BBA14-111SET, BBA14-111SMT, BBA14-112SET, BBA14-112SMT, BBA14-211SET, BBA14-211SMT, BBA14-212SET, and BBA14-212SMT.
The measurement of vibration of a blower or motor is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to speed, probe location, holding fixture for the device while testing. NMT performs the test with the product running a maximum speed and placing the vibration probe placed on the outer diameter of air intake cover. The blower under test is situated on a vibration isolation mat, on our production line.
Over the past 6 months NMT has implemented process and design changes in order to improve this aspect of the Mercury brand of BLDC blowers. We are pleased to announce this improvement.
